Privacy policy
Aftermath Ltd (company registration C110654, 34 Mosta Road, St Paul’s Bay, Malta) runs apply.mt and is the data controller. Questions or requests: hello@apply.mt.
What we collect
- Company accounts: your name, work email, mobile and password (stored only as a secure hash), and your company’s name, type and industry.
- Jobs and applications: the jobs you publish, the people who apply, your notes, messages and interview invitations.
- Job seekers: your profile, experience, skills, preferences, applications and messages.
- Early waitlist (before job seeker accounts opened): your email and, if you gave it, your name.
- Security records: sign-in times and a one-way hash of your IP address, to stop spam and break-in attempts.
Why we use it
- To run your account and the service you asked for — the legal basis is our contract with you.
- To keep apply.mt secure and prevent abuse — our legitimate interest.
- To email early waitlist members once that job seeker accounts are open — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To suggest matches with Milo. Suggestions are automated, but hiring decisions are always made by people at the company.
Who sees it
Companies see the details of people who apply to their jobs. We do not sell personal data. We use service providers that store and process data for us under contract, such as our web host in the EU and the servers that run Milo. Pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while the account is open and deleted within 90 days after it is closed, except records we must keep by law. Waitlist emails are deleted by 30 June 2027, 6 months after the planned launch if no account is opened. Security records are kept for up to 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, object to how we use it or withdraw consent. Email hello@apply.mt and we will answer within one month. You can also complain to the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC) at idpc.org.mt.
Cookies
apply.mt uses only the cookies it needs to work: one that keeps you signed in and protects forms, and a preference for light or dark mode stored in your browser. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, so there is nothing to opt out of.
